Hyderabad, Dec 23 : South Central Railway General Manager PK Srivastava inspected the Secunderabad Railway Station on Monday. He was accompanied by S K Mishra, Divisional Railway Manager and other officials of Secunderabad Division during the inspection.
During his inspection, Srivastava focused on improving the facilities to the passengers and strengthening the security arrangements at the station. He inspected in detail various amenities provided to the passengers including catering and drinking water supply arrangements in the station. He studied the platform utilisation pattern of the station. Srivastava also inspected working of CCTV Surveillance System, display of Reservation Charts, announcements through PA System, working of digital arrival / departure Boards, booking office, Pay & Use Toilets, etc., in the station.
While talking to the Media Personnel, Srivastava said that efforts would be taken to improve the security to women passengers by drawing the services of more number of Home Guards and by posting additional Railway Protection Force Personnel in MMTS Stations and on MMTS Trains. He informed that Punctuality of MMTS trains has been improved a lot and a close watch would be kept to further improve the same. SCR would expand GPRS / GPS based information system on running of trains to disseminate real time information to the commuters, he added. INN
