Hyderabad, Dec 22 : GHMC Mayor Mohammad Majid Hussain and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday inaugurated a coin-operated water purifying plant at Syed Nager-2, First Lancers. This is the second of its kind technology plant being used in the city, first one was inaugurated in November at Mahboob Colony in Asif Nager.
In this plant there are two tanks of 3,000 litres each and they have coin boxes attached to them. Once a person inserts an Rs 1 coin, he can avail of up to 11 litres of purified water. There are about hundreds of families who can benefit from this unit. “The aim was to provide purified drinking water to every family. It is not just restricted to people of this colony; adjoining colonies also can avail of this facility.”Asaduddin Owaisi said on this occasion. Mayor Mohd Majid Hussain, Nampally MLA Virasat Rasool Khan and other were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, the GHMC Mayor said that the main aim of the program was to provide pure and best drinking water to the poor and unprivileged people, which can also be availed by the near by residents. “Keeping in view of the need for the poor and down trodden people who are living in slums to have a healthy environment the Hyderabad MP has taken up this activity from his own funds to help the needy,” he said.
Asaduddin Owaisi also laid the foundation stone of the works of boundary wall of a land which is purchased for the community purpose and distributed free note books in more then 600 poor students of Ahmed Nager Division. INN
