Hyderabad, Dec 16 : The South Central Railway conducted the 28th Pension Adalat at Rail Nilayam Auditorium in Secunderabad here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, SCR Additional General Manager K L Pandey said that at various Pension Adalats conducted on SC Railway Zone, 678 cases were received from Railway pensioners for redressal, out of which 601 cases were disposed off and an amount of Rs. 29, 97, 000/- was paid to the pensioners. He asked the officials to look into the remaining cases and settle at the earliest and also asked the officials to hold empathy towards pensioners while dealing with their problems.
Usha Ashok Kumar, SCR Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer, applauded the services being rendered by the Retired Pensioners Associations in solving the problems of pensioners. She also appealed to the staff to solve the grievances of pensioners expeditiously.
Sanjay Suri, Chief Personnel Officer South Central Railway informed that SCR is striving for prompt settlement system with 100 per cent settlement on the day of Retirement. SCR has issued 100 per cent revised Pension Pay Orders pertaining to the implementation of 6th pay commission, he added.
