One person with fake passport arrested

Hyderabad, Dec 14 : The RGI Airport Immigration officials on Saturday arrested one person for travelling with a fake passport.

The accused, Pelepu Jalandhar, 35, hails from Karimnagar. He went to Muscat in the year 2007 and was arrested after he landed at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Shamshabad. According to police, Jalandhar travelled on someone else’s passport, identified as K Rayamallu, by changing the photograph. He procured the fake passport from an agent Shankar by paying 5500 Omani Riyals. A case has been registered The RGI Airport police have filed a case and remanded to judicial custody.

Two women among five commits suicide

Hyderabad, Dec 14 : In separate cases, five persons, including two women, committed suicide for different reasons.

A 24-year-old man, J Chandu, committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Vinayak Nagar Colony of Bandlaguda on Friday night. According to Rajendra Nagar police, Chandu took the extreme step after he was rebuked by his mother on some trivial issue.

In a similar case, 18-year-old Rathore Santosh committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Banjara Basji of Anjaiah Nagar on Friday night. He had failed in SSC last year and was not doing any job. He was allegedly rebuked by his mother Jamuna and brother Raju for not doing any work and the same is suspected to have led him to suicide.

In Ibrahimpatnam police limits, several stomach pain drove a 45-year-old woman to suicide. The deceased, R Swaroopa, consumed some unknown poison on December 9 and died at the Osmania General Hospital on Saturday morning. She was resident of Adibatla in Ranga Reddy district.

In a separate case, 55-year-old G Lakshmi committed suicide by hanging at her residence in Tadban on Friday night. The reasons that led to her to the extreme step are yet to be ascertained, according to Kalapather police.

In another case, 48-year-old M Ramanjaneyulu committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of Nature Cure Hospital. According to Ghatkesar police, Ramanjaneyulu, a native of Kadapa, was admitted to the hospital a few days ago for treatment. Further investigations are on.

Two die after falling from height

Hyderabad, Dec 14 : A 60-year-old man died of injuries which he suffered after falling down from a wall in SR Nagar police limits.

The deceased, T Lakshmikantha Rao, fell down from a wall near his residence in Yousufguda in an inebriated condition on Thursday evening. He was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where he died on Friday night.

In another case, 20-year-old AV Ramana, a labourer, sufferred grievious injuries after falling down from the 13th floor of an under construction building in Madhapur police limits on Friday evening. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. He was a native of Kosgi in Kurnool and was residing in huts in Madhapur.

One killed in train accident

Hyderabad, Dec 14 : A 50-year-old man died on the spot after he was hit by a train while he was trying to cross the train.

The accident occurred on Friday evening near Moula Ali Railway Station. The deceased was later identified as D Narahari, a businessman and a resident of Domaiguda.

Five killed in road accidents

Hyderabad, Dec 14 : In separate cases, five persons were killed in road accidents in different parts of the city and its outskirts.

A 62-year-old pedestrian, K Rajaiah, died of injuries which he suffered after being hit by an unidentified auto-rickshaw near Sriram Nagar on Friday evening. He was admitted to a nearby private hospital where he succumbed on Saturday, according to Banjara Hills police. He was a retired government employee and resident of Kalyan Nagar.

In a similar case, 36-year-old A Ashok, died no the spot after he was hit and run by an unidentified vehicle near Pragathi Nagar on Friday evening. According to Jeedimetla police, Ashok was an employee of a private firm and resident of Chintal.

In another case, 23-year-old B Sainath Reddy, suffered grievous injuries when he fell down from the motorcycle that he was riding skidded near Miyapur crossroads in the early hours of Saturday. On being taken to a nearby hospital, he was declared brought dead. He was a student and resident of Madinaguda, Miyapur police said.

In a separate case, 25-year-old B Rajasekhar died on the spot after being run over under the rear tyre of a RTC bus. According to Miyapur police, Rajasekhar fell down while trying to get down from the RTC bus. The driver suddenly applied the break and under the impact he fell down and came under the rear tyres.

In the last case, 40-year-old Pentaiah, succumbed to the injuries which he suffered on December 5 after falling from a tracker near his residence in Suraram Colony. He was undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital where he died on Friday night, according to Jeedimetla police.

Wife’s addiction to mobile phone drives man to suicide

Hyderabad, Dec 14 : Depressed over his wife constantly talking over cell phone, a daily wager ended his life.

The deceased, A Ramakrishna, 26, took the extreme by jumping in front of a train between Shivrampally and Falaknuma stations on Friday night. Enquiries by the Kachiguda Railway Police revealed that Ramakrishna, a resident of Shivrampally, had a love marriage with a girl about two years ago. However, Lakhsmi left him after about six months of marriage and remained out of touch for almost one year. He searched for her and brought her back home about six months ago.

However, Ramakrishna started suspecting her fidelity due to her habit of talking over cell phone. On Thursday he picked up an argument with his wife over the issue. After a few hours, his wife left home by taking away Rs 40,000 cash and a mobile phone. Police suspect that Ramakrishna might have committed suicide due to his strained relationship with his wife and her behaviour.

Police begin investigations in lorry-driver’s death

Hyderabad, Dec 14 : A 28-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Nagole in LB Nagar police limits.

According to police, the deceased, D Ramakoti, a lorry-driver took the extreme step on Friday night. However, his family members alleged that Ramakoti has been murdered by wife after both had an argument over some issue. The couple was married about seven years ago.

Based on the complaint, police registered a case of suspicious death and began investigations.
