Speaker disallows adjournment motions on Telangana

Hyderabad, Dec 13 : Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar on Friday disallowed adjournment motions both in favour and against the Telangana formation.

YSR Congress Party floor leader YS Vijaya Lakshmi and TDP’s Parthasarathy gave separate adjournment notices seeking Assembly resolution to keep the State united. On the other side, TRS floor leader Etala Rajender, CPI’s G Mallesh and E Lakshminarayana and Nagam Janardhan Reddy of BJP gave adjournment notices seeking immediate tabling of Telangana Bill in the Assembly.

J Ranga Reddy of CPI (M) gave adjournment notice seeking debate on damages due to recent cyclones in the State. However, the Speaker disallowed all the adjournment motions. INN
