Hyderabad, Dec 13 : Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha on Friday demanded that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy be removed from the post with immediate effect.
Speaking to media persons here, Rajanarasimha alleged that the Chief Minister was delay the tabling of Telangana Bill in the Assembly through different means. Stating that the people of Telangana had lost faith in the Chief Minister, he demanded a meeting of Congress Legislature Party (CLP) to formalise removal of Kiran Kumar Reddy from the post.
The Deputy CM said that a senior official of the union home ministry had brought the draft Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill 2013 to Hyderabad in a special aircraft on Thursday evening. However, Kiran Kumar Reddy deliberately delayed sending the Bill to the Assembly. He said he spoke to Chief Secretary Dr PK Mohanty, who received the Bill, and enquired about the delay in sending the Bill. He said that the Chief Minister waited till the Assembly was adjourned for the day so that the house could not take up the Bill.
Describing Kiran Kumar Reddy as “anti-Telangana”, the Deputy Chief Minister alleged that the former was making all attempts to stall the bifurcation of State. INN
