Hyderabad, Dec 7 : Former minister and senior Congress leader JC Diwakar Reddy may quit the electoral politics.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises here on Saturday, Diwakar Reddy gave enough hints that he might not contest the next elections. Although he made it categorical that he would not contest the elections again on Congress party ticket, he also announced that he was not inclined to join either TDP or YSR Congress party.
Diwakar Reddy said that by giving nod to Telangana Bill, the Centre has made Seemandhra people realise that they were living in a rented house. He said instead of thinking about Hyderabad, the Seemandhra people should now focus on building on their own capital so that their taxes could be used for its development. He said he was quite upset with the division of State and also denial of Rayala Telangana.
“Out of affection, we called Sonia Gandhi “Amma”, but she kicked us as “Ambha”,” he remarked. INN
