Mason dies after falling from second floor
Hyderabad, Dec 3 : A 26-year-old mason died of injuries which he suffered after falling down from the second floor while working near a lift shaft.
According to Alwal police, the deceased, Jairam, a resident of Maruthi Nagar, fell down from the lift shaft on November 25. He was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital for treatment where he died on Tuesday.
Worker electrocuted to death
Hyderabad, Dec 3 : A 32-year-old worker died on the spot after he got electrocuted at his workplace in Mylardevpally police limits.
The incident occurred at the site of Maheshwari Construction on Monday evening. The deceased, Nega Siya, was carrying some iron rods and accidentally they touched a live electric wire causing instantaneous death due to electrocution.
The police have registered a case of negligence under Section 304 (A) against the contractor, Hari Om.
Rly employee among two killed in train accident
Hyderabad, Dec 3 : A 42-year-old man died on the spot after he slipped down from a running train.
The incident occurred between Budwel and Falaknuma Railway Stations on Monday evening. The deceased was later identified as Y Christopher, an employee of Railways and resident of Kachiguda Railway Quarters. Secunderabad Railway Police suspect that Christopher might have fell down while trying to get down from a running train.
In another case, 27-year-old K Arvind Kumar died on the spot after he was hit by a train while trying to cross the tracks between Sanathnagar and Fatehnagar Stations on Monday evening. He an employee of a private firm and resident of Hyderguda of Rajendra Nagar, Nampally Railway Police said.
Three pedestrians killed in road accident
Hyderabad, Dec 3 : In two separate cases, three persons were killed in road accidents at different places in the city.
In Nacharam police limits, two pedestrians died on the spot after they were hit by a speeding car nera Nacharam crossroads on Tuesday morning. The deceased were later identified as Ketavat Raju (25) and Chand Pasha (35), both residents of Nacharam. A case has been registered against the car driver.
In another case, K Venkataiah, 60, died injuries which he suffered after he was hit by a motorcycle near DRDL crossroads on November. He was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where he succumbed on Monday night, according to Chandrayangutta police. Venkataiah was a native of Nalgonda district.
Five persons commit suicide
Hyderabad, Dec 3 : In separate cases, five persons committed suicide for different reasons in the city and its outskirts.
In Jubilee Hills police limits, a 46-year-old woman, P Vijaya Karuna, committed suicide by hanging at her residence in Rahmat Nagar on Monday night. Her husband P Venkatesh died a few years ago while her daughters Sneha and Neha also got married. She is suspected to have resorted to the extreme step due to loneliness.
In another case, 40-year-old P Mallama on Tuesday succumbed to the burn injuries which she suffered after setting herself ablaze on Monday. She was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where she died today. Ill-health is suspected to be the reason behind suicide, according to Kushaiguda police.
In a similar case, 35-year-old A Narsing Rao, who was suffering from the disease of fits, committed suicide by setting himself ablaze. Narsing Rao took the extreme step at his residence MG Nagar on Monday and died at the Gandhi Hospital on Tuesday while undergoing treatment, Marredpally police said.
Similarly, 26-year-old P Ravi Kumar, who consumed some unknown pills in huge quantity on Monday, died at the Gandhi Hospital on Tuesday morning. According to Medipally police, Ravi Kumar, a resident of Maruti Nagar, is suspected to have committed suicide due to ill-health as both his kidneys had failed.
In a separate case, the Secunderabad Railway Police found the body of a 43-year-old man near RRI Cabin in Secunderabad Railway Station premises on Monday evening. He was later identified as K Venkatesham, a barber and resident of GVK Garden in Bownpally. He is suspected to have committed suicide by consuming some unknown poison due to ill-health and unemployment.
Cheating case accused dies of heart attack
Hyderabad, Dec 3 : A 58-year-old man died after being summoned to Chaderghat Police Station for questioning into a case of cheating booked against him.
The deceased, E Satyanarayana, a resident of APHB Colony, came to the police station on Tuesday morning in connection with a cheating case registered against him for allegedly taking Rs 12 lakh from a person by giving him by a fake contract order. However, he suddenly fell unconscious in the police station premises. His son Gautam, who accompanied him, immediately rushed him to a nearby private hospital where he died after a few minutes.
The Chaderghat Police then shifted the body to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem. DCP East Zone Shahnawaz Qasim, ACP Sultan Bazar G Someshwar Rao and Chaderghat Inspector LR Venkat Reddy visited the mortuary. Further investigations are on.
