Coupled with this is the increased threat perception and enhanced security concerns,” the Military spokesperson said in a statement here on Monday.
The Cantonment Board is already working out system for improving the traffic management in the Cantonment and Military station areas. “In order to tide over the current traffic problems after due deliberation and evaluation of various routes and availability of alternate routes a decision has been taken that certain routes will be closed. In this connection it has also been ensured that the main routes of entry and exist to all neighbouring residential colonies have been kept open,” the spokesperson said.
The civil traffic has been requested to cooperate and abide by the restrictions imposed.
