CM releases “Budget Handbook”

Hyderabad, Sept 30 : The Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy released a “Budget handbook” this afternoon at Camp Office and complimented the author of the book, Pushpa Subrahmanyam, Principal Secretary, Finance. He said that the book will benefit the staff of the Budget department.

Minister for Finance, Anam Ramnaryana Reddy, Chief Secretary Dr P K Mohanty, Chairman, APERC, V Bhaskar, Special Chief Secretary to Government, S P Tucker, Principal Secretary, Finance, D Sambasiva Rao, Secretary, Finance, L Premachandra Reddy and Senior Officials from Finance department were present.

The Writer of the Book and Principal Secretary, Finance, Smt. Pushpa Subrahmanyam said that the book briefly explains the roles and responsibilities of different stakeholders, standard templates for various steps in the budget process and the procedures and timelines to be followed for processing budget estimates in the Finance Department. She also said that the book also incorporates procedures and templates for the interface with the office of the Governor and the Legislature in the introduction of the demands for grants and passing of the Appropriation Bill. The Handbook is necessitated to serve as a brief of the Budget manual. INN
