Hyderabad, Sept 29 : The Cyberabad Police on Sunday conducted massive Cordon and Search at various places in different areas of Malkajgiri zone.
The drive was conducted in Mallikarjun Nagar, Chilkanagar and Uppal and other areas. Around 250 houses were visited and the antecedents of inhabitants/tenants were checked and their particulars were collected and recorded for further enquiry. As a part of checking, organized vehicle checking was done at three places and 62 cases were booked. A fine of Rs 45,100 was also imposed for the violation of the rules under MV Act.
A total of three Inspectors, 12 Sub-Inspectors, and 80 Police personnel were engaged for these searches.
The Cordon and Search was also conducted at BJR Nagar, Shamirpet Mandal, RR District in the limits Alwal Police Station. As many as four Inspectors, 15 Sub-Inspectors, 50 Civil HC/PCs and 20 APSPs HC/PCs conducted the houses search. They listed out the particulars of persons who were staying in the respective houses including their Aadhar Details. One Auto-rickshaw bearing number AP09V0823 was found without documents during vehicle checking. At another place, nine bundles of Detonator Wires, 60 Bundles of Detonators and machinery tools making detonators were found in three rooms.
According to police, the cordon and search activity has created tremendous alertness and awareness among the public and in the colony to strengthen the security measures to prevent any untoward incidents, motivated the house owners to collect the particulars of their tenants while giving rents of their houses to them.
