Housewife beaten up for delivering a baby girl, died

Hyderabad, Sept 26 : A 24-year-old housewife was beaten up by her husband for delivering a baby girl in Golconda police limits.

According to police, deceased – Sadiya Begum, was married to Syed Hashim who is having his own business, r/o 2nd Lancer, Golconda in October 2012, at the time of marriage Sadiya’s parents gave 3 tolas gold ornaments, 60 thousand net cash, Honda Shine motor cycle and house hold articles as dowry, immediately after 2 months of marriage her husband and in-laws started harassing her. When she became pregnant, her in-laws started torturing and demanded her to give birth a male child.

Twenty-eight days back she delivered a baby girl on August 28, 2013 by caesarian operation, after that her husband came to his wife’s house and started beating her for delivering a baby girl, she was severely injured and later her parents admitted her in Meena hospital in Mehdipatnam area, where in undergoing treatment she died on Sept 25.

Golconda PS Inspector Syed Nayeem Uddin Javeed registered a case under section 304 B and the body was shifted to OGH mortuary, after postmortem the body was handed over to her relatives. Case is under investigation. INN
