Hyderabad, Sept 16 : The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday adjourned the hearing to Tuesday on a petition filed against the ongoing indefinite strike by the APNGOs in favour of Samaikhyandhra.
The petitioner contended that the strike by APNGOs was illegal and causing inconvenience to the public.
It may be mentioned that nearly 4 lakh employees affiliated with Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers Association and other unions went on indefinite strike since August 12 midnight in protest against the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh to create Telangana. The administration has come to a halt in the entire State, especially in 13 districts of coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema region, due to the strike. The functioning of State Secretariat too is badly hit due to the strike. INN
