Hyderabad, August 14 : The Standing Committee of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation on Wednesday accepted the recommendations of Prasada Rao Committee on the new staffing pattern of the corporation.
In its meeting held at the GHMC Headquarters at Tank Bund, the Standing Committee has the Prasada Rao Committee’s recommendations which would enable the corporation to create as many as 2,607 posts.
The Standing Committee has also increased the sanction powers of both the GHMC Mayor and Commissioner. It also approved filling up the vacant post of Assistant Foreman has also been approved.
Addressing a press conference later, GHMC Mayor Mohammad Majid Hussain informed that the members of Standing Committee have interacted with the various grievance petitioners right from Standing Committee hall and enquired about the status of their grievance. He further informed that overall response of the public is satisfactory and this process of interaction will continue in every Standing Committee meeting and directed the officials to be more vigilant while addressing the public grievances of Prajavani / Call Centre / Face to Face.
The Mayor informed that Standing Committee has unanimously resolved that all the signages of HTRIMS Project should be in three languages i.e., Hindi, Telugu and English. INN
