Mayor inaugurates flamingo fountain

Hyderabad, Aug 8 : GHMC Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain inaugurated a flamingo fountain at Masab tank cross roads on Thursday to add aesthetic beauty to Masab tank centre. M/s. Canara Bank, Masab tank has sponsored the fountain island with Rs.3.50 Lakhs.

Majid Hussain said that as a part of beautification GHMC is coming forward to take up such fountains in main roads in the entire jurisdiction of GHMC. The Commissioner, GHMC and the Urban Biodiversity wing are striving hard to involve Corporate Offices, Nationalized Banks to come forward for sponsorship on PPP (Public Private Partnership) mode to beautify the entire city.

The GHMC Mayor said that GHMC is maintaining 75 fountains at various important locations in GHMC limits of twin cities. These fountains are a mixture of different types such as Ball fountain, Cascade fountain, Mist fountain and certain theme fountains like flamingo fountain, tree fountain, Cup and Saucer fountain, Shell fountain etc., all this fountains are being maintained by Urban Biodiversity Wing, GHMC.
