Hyderabad, Aug 4: Claiming that the neither he nor his party was against formation of Telangana, TDP’s Rajya Sabha MP Nandamuri Hari Krishna on Sunday resigned from his post in protest against the way the Centre has announced bifurcation.
Talking to reporters after paying homage to his father and late Chief Minister N T Rama Rao at NTR Ghat here, Hari Krishna informed that he has sent his resignation letter to the Rajya Sabha chairman and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu.
Hari Krishna said that the Centre’s decision on Telangana was unilateral. He said that the Centre should have taken the opinion of people from all the regions into consideration before announcing its decision. He said that the methodology adopted to decide on Telangana was wrong and highly objectionable. It shocked the entire Telugu community. He said justice should be done with the people of all regions.
