Six Seemandhra TDP MLAs resign

Hyderabad, Aug 1: In protest against the Centre’s decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh to create Telagnana State, as many as six Telugu Desam Party MLAs resigned from their post late on Thursday.

The MLAs who resigned from their posts are Paritala Sunitha, P Keshav, Kandikunta Prasad, Abdul Ghani, V Raghunath Reddy and Parthasarthy. The MLAs have faxed their resignation letters to Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar on Thursday evening. They said that they were resigning from their post as per the wish of their people in their constituencies.
