Visakhapatnam, May 30 : Former MP T Subbarami Reddy on Thursday threatened to file a defamation suit against Congress MLA Daggubati Venkateshwara Rao on the charges of levelling baseless allegations against him.
Addressing a meeting here, Subbarami Reddy alleged that Daggubati, who is also husband of Union Minister D Purandeswari, has levelled serious allegations against him during a press conference held on Wednesday. Daggubati had alleged that TSR was arrested in 1980s for the sale of illegal sale of cement allotted for Nagarjuna Sagar project in black market. Further, he alleged that TSR made money by taking advantage of loopholes in the project contracts.
