Hyderabad, May 17 : As many as 1,77,678 candidates or 71.94 per cent candidates have cleared the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET – 2013).
Announcing the results, State Board of Technical Education and Training chairman P Jayaprakash Rao informed that out of 1,80,744 boys who appeared for the examination, 1,26,854 boys or 70.18 per cent qualified. Similarly, out of 66,226 girl candidates who appeared for the examination 50,824 girls have qualified representing a pass percentage of 76.74 per cent.
Jayaprakash Rao said that the minimum qualifying marks of POLYCET – 2013 was 30 per cent or 36 marks out of 120 for all category candidates, except SC and ST for whom there is no minimum qualifying marks. All the SC/ST candidates who have appeared for the POLYCET examinations thus have qualified and have been assigned ranks based on their performance.
The first three ranks at POLYCET – 2013 have been bagged by Surampudi Sai Sriharsha of East Godavari (1st rank); Gajjala Sai Satya Kiranmayee of East Godavari (2nd rank) and Bala Gopala Sreerama Bhadraraju of West Godavari (3rd rank).
The ranks cards of POLYCET – 2013 can be downloaded from website https://apceep.nic.in by the candidate from May 20. The scanned OMR Answer script will be placed in the same website from May 23 for individual verification of the candidates appeared for examination. Web counselling will commence from May 29. However, the detailed notification with regard to web counselling for admission into Polytechnics in the State shall be released by the Commissioner of Technical Education in the third week of May.
This time three new help line centres have been opened at GMR in Bhadrachalam, Andhra Loyola College in Vijayawada and KDRGP of Wanaparthy. Candidates have been advise to lookout for the same and attend the verification of certificates programme as per the schedule, based on their rank indicated in the notification. The Notification in the newspapers shall itself be treated as a call letter for web counselling for admission even if rank card is not received by the candidate. No separate call letter for verification of certificates and the web counselling shall be sent to the candidate by the SBTET.
