Hyderabad, May 17 : As many as 88.08 per cent candidates cleared the Secondary School Certificate exams whose results were announced here on Friday.
Releasing the results at Board of Secondary Education office at Chapel Road, Secondary Education Minister K Parthasarathy informed that girls outnumber boys in the pass percentage. While 87.30 boys cleared the exams, 88.90 per cent girls passed the SSC. The State percentage of passes of private candidates is 45.50. The percentage of passes secured by boys is 42.47 whereas girls secured 51.92 percentage of passes. The Girls secured 9.45 per cent higher than boys.
This year as many as 4,326 schools secured 100 per cent results. However, as many as 11 schools including six private schools secured zero results.
Chittoor district secured highest pass percentage of 94.92 while Medak secured lowest percentage of 67.96 per cent.
Both, regular and private candidates, put together 11,92,076 candidates have appeared for the SSC Public Examinations held in March this year as against 12,85,822 registered last year. Of them, as many as 99.17 per cent appeared for the exams.
The Minister informed that the Advanced Supplementary Examinations for failed candidates would be held from June 15 to 28th. The last date for payment of exam fee will be June 1. INN
