Vijayawada, May 12 : Janata Party president Subramaniam Swamy on Sunday predicted that the YSR Congress party would come to power in the State in 2014 elections.
Addressing a meeting here, Subramaniam Swamy said that YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would replace the Congress party in the State after next elections. Further, he said that the YSRCP would maintain distance from the Congress-led UPA at the Centre and might not support its government at the Centre. Although he did not predict that Jagan might sail with the BJP-led NDA, he said that the NDA would have no problems with the YSRCP.
Sumbramaniam Swamy’s comments are likely to raise a fresh political controversy. Swamy is known for attacking the Congress party and its leaders on corruption and black money issues. However, Swamy might be in a fix as Jagan too has been facing the allegations of amassing illegal wealth while his father late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy was in power in the State. INN
