LIC’s Jeevan Saral Plan. Launched in the year 2004, Jeevan Saral is one among the best selling plan’s from LIC.
Jeevan Saral is more like a Recurring Deposit schemes as being offered by various banks, but being offered by an Insurer it has an advantage of death benefits apart from Maturity Sum Assured. The death benefit includes the total risk cover and loyalty bonus, if any. LIC also promises return of premiums, excluding first-year premiums and extra/rider premiums.

- Death Benefits: 250 times the monthly basic premium + return of premiums paid (excluding first year premium) is paid to the nominee. Double the Sum Assured in case of Accidental death.
- Loan facility on policy is available after 3years from the commencement date.
Example: If Mr. Xyz aged 28 years takes this plan to meet the future expenses of his 01yr old girl child, Suppose he choose to saves Rs.4000/- per month in this plan, say when her daughter grows 17yrs old he can get approx. Rs.20,00,000/- (20Lakhs) to meet the expenses of her higher education, assuming he does not take this amount but prefer to wait till her marriage, when her daughter get’s 21yrs old, Mr.Xyz can get an amount of approx.
