City Police extends Section 144 in Old City

Hyderabad, Nov 8 : City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma on Thursday extended the imposition of Section 144 under the limits of five police stations in the Old City till November 11.

The assembly of five or more persons in the limits of Charminar, Hussaini Alam, Mirchowk, Shalibanda and Moghalpura under Section 144 Cr PC will be prohibited till November 11. However, these orders would be in force only during nights. The commissioner, in a press release, said that the prohibitory orders were being extended to preserve public peace and safety. He said any person violating the above orders shall be liable for prosecution under the law.
