KCR approves design of “Telangana Kalabharathi”

Hyderabad, April 19 (INN): Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has approved the design of building of Telangana Kalabharathi, prepared by world famous architect Hafeez Contractor.

The main design incorporates in it, four more inside designs of four auditoriums with a seating capacity of 3000, 1500, 1000 and 500 respectively. The building for which the Chief Minister will lay foundation shortly will come up on the vacant place of about 14 acres opposite to Indira Park in Hyderabad. This building that would become a public building will have large water bodies and fountains around it. Plinth area of the building will be roughly 1, 25,000 square feet with 125 by 125 square meters dimensions. Within the site, the building will be almost centrally located having lawns either side. There will be two corner gates one located on the North-west side and the other towards south-east. Besides these two, a grand gate towards east side will also be kept.

The proposed and approved design of the Kalabharathi building will have many features. It will have an Experience Theater, Pre-view Theater, Practice and Rehearsal areas, Library, Art Museum gallery, Painting gallery, Sculpture gallery, VIP Lounge, Media Lounge, Seminar Rooms with a seating capacity of 100, 50 and 25, Dormitory and Guest rooms, three restaurants, 40 rooms for members, 10 suits for members, Food court for 1000 persons, Cells for Lalita Kala Academy, Sahitya Academy and Sangeet Nataka Academy, Car parking for 3000 vehicles, Gathering space for 10, 000 persons and so on.
