AP CM to launch online grievance system – Mee Kosam

Hyderabad, Dec 31 (INN): With the State Government preparing to launch its flagship programme – Smart Andhra Pradesh – shortly, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will launch an online grievance system soon.

During a review with IT department officials at Secretariat on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that he would launch Mee Kosam, an online grievance monitoring system, before January 15. Through this, people can check the status of their grievances/representations by entering their Aadhar number or the grievance number.

The Chief Minister said that Andhra Pradesh’s Sunrise Start-ups Program will begin by March 2015. He was informed by IT advisor J. Satyanarayana that incubation centres in Kakinada and Tirupati are ready to begin operations. Moreover, Chandrababu Naidu also suggested officials to pursue setting up of incubation centres in universities and colleges.

Chandrababu Naidu added that the state government will hold digital literacy camps in Anantapur, Chittoor, Guntur, West Godavari and Srikakulam districts. Tech experts will train officials, the CM said, adding that the first phase of this project should be completed by March.

Stating that the Centre has sought clarification on certain issues related to Visakhapatnam ITIR project, the Chief Minister told the IT advisor to clear Centre’s doubts and ensure that the project gets necessary approvals immediately.

Further, he said that he will lay the foundation stone of Signature Tower (which will be a symbol of resurgence of IT in Andhra Pradesh) in Madhurawada, Vizag, by March.

The Chief Minister also suggested setting up an e-Governance society which will be headed by a Chief Executive Officer and A Chief Technology Officer. This Society will monitor and track the progress of delivery of citizen services online. He has also asked the IT Department to design a plan to bring in country’s first “Right to Good Governance Act”.

On the other hand, the Chief Minister asked the IT department to disburse 10,000 tablets to village-level officers immediately. They will collect data on public welfare schemes and key indicators and upload it online.

IT Advisor J. Satyanarayana, IT secretary Kona Shashidhar, Principal Secretaries to CM Ajay Sawhney, Satish Chandra and others were present.
