Venkaiah asks KCR to withdraw “fascist” remarks against PM

Hyderabad, Aug 10 (INN): Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday demanded that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao withdraw his remarks wherein he described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a fascist.

Speaking to media persons at Telangana BJP office at Nampally here, Venkaiah Naidu said that fascism is a term against democracy. Therefore, KCR should withdraw his comments immediately, he demanded and advised the Chief Minister to restrain from using such language in future against the Prime Minister.

Venkaiah Naidu also justified the Centre’s letter to the Telangana Government asking it delegate Law and Order powers in Hyderabad City to the Governor. He said that the decision was not new and it was well explained in the Andhra Pradesh State Reorganisation Act -2014. He said KCR, as a MP, participated in the discussions in Lok Sabha and welcomed the Bill. He said that the BJP-led UPA Government was just implementing the Telangana Bill passed by the Parliament.

He also made it clear that confrontation between the Telangana Government and the Centre was not good for the people. He assured that the Centre would do equal justice to both the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
