Sujatha advocates speedy disposal in women’s harassment cases

Hyderabad, June 22 : Andhra Pradesh Minister for Women Empowerment Peethala Sujatha has proposed speedy disposal of cases related to atrocities and harassment of women.

Speaking to media persons after assuming charge here on Sunday, Sujatha said that women’s safety and development would be given utmost priority in Andhra Pradesh. She said there were lot of cases related to women’s harassment and atrocities which are pending in different courts. She said steps would be taken for the early disposal of those cases to ensure justice for the victims. Further, she said that the TDP Government would ensure safety of women across the State.

Sujatha signed the first file pertaining to an awareness campaign about women’s rights. She said that the government would create equal and better employment opportunities for women and they would be encouraged in taking up self-employment schemes.   INN
