Beas River Tragedy: Two more bodies retrieved

Hyderabad, June 18 : The rescue workers and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) on Wednesday retrieved two more bodies from Beas River in Mandi in Himachal Pradesh.

According to information reaching here, one of the two recovered bodies has been identified as Tarun, a missing student of VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology. He was among the 24 engineering students and their tour guide who were washed away when the Larji Dam authorities suddenly released the water on June 8. The authorities had earlier recovered bodies of eight students.

The rescue operations are still on to trace the remaining 14 students. The body of Tarun is likely to be flown to Hyderabad by Thursday.  INN
