TRS Govt lacks clarity on farm loan waiver promise: TJR

Hyderabad, June 9 : Congress senior leader T Jeeven Reddy on Monday asked TRS Government to clarify its stand on its promise of waiving off farm loans.

Speaking to media persons at Assembly media point, Jeevan Reddy said that there were contradictions on the statements being issued by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Finance Minister Etela Rajender and Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy on the farm loan waiver issue. While KCR has been citing lack of data as the reasons to waive off loans, the other ministers are making statements on partial or total waive off. He said there was no coordination among the TRS ministers.

Jeevan Reddy said the contradictory statements have instilled a sense of fear and loss of hope among farmers which led a few of them to commit suicide. He demanded that KCR come out with a clear statement on the issue to assure farmers that he would implement the poll promise.  INN
