EXCISE OFFICIALS ATTACKED BY LIQUOR TRADERS AT SINGARENI COLONY

Hyderabad, Dec 17 : A Sub Inspector of Excise and Prohibition Department was injured when a 50 member strong mob attacked a team of excise officials at Singareni colony in Saidabad on Tuesday morning.

The team as part of the special drive raided a ID liquor selling point when it came under attack. The team seized about 200 ID liquor sachets and arrested one Ram for selling the ID liquor sachets. However, the woman freed him after attacking the excise personnel with stones.

Three women were taken into custody for the attack the Officials. A case has been registered against the mob at Saidabad police station.

One killed in Train Accident

Hyderabad, Dec 17 : A 44-year-old man died after he was trying to catch a Rajkote Express train in Railway station Secunderabad plat form no 9 on Dec 16 night hours.

The accident occurred on Sunday night. The Secunderabad Railway police later identified the deceased as Joseph Bhai, a private employee and resident of Gujrat, Native of Kerala.

Ninth Class student commit suicide

Hyderabad, Dec 17 : In a shocking incident, A 16 year old Ninth Class student committed suicide by hanging at Sri Meha College fourth floor room on Tuesday early hours of Malakpet police limits.

The deceased, P Sairam son of P Balaiah was a student ninth class r/o Dilsukhnagar and committed suicide on Tuesday. According to Malakpet police deceased mother P Manemma a sweeper angry and Schrolled him due to playing a cricket on night hours. Mentally depressed deceased taking the extreme step committed suicide by hanging. Sub Inspector Mohammed Nayeemuddin said.

ASST. ENGINEER ELECTRICITY DEPT VIZIANAGARAM IN ACB NET

Vizianagaram, Dec 17 : The Assistant Engineer, Electricity Department, Gurugubilli (M), Vizianagaram district was caught red handed by the ACB officials on 17th Dec at 12.55 noon at the O/o. Asst. Engineer, Gurugubilli (M), Vizianagaram, when he demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs.3,000 from the complainant for doing an official favour of processing and for issuance of Electricity Meter to the Bricks Manufacturing Unit of the complainant.

The accused officer is being arrested and produced before the Hon’ble ACB Court, Visakhapatnam. Case is under investigation.

AUDITOR D-2 SECTION PAY &ACCOUNTS OFFICE, HYDERABAD CONVICTED IN ACB TRAP CASE

Hyderabad, Dec 17 : Smt. P. Sri Sudha, Principal Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases Hyderabad pronounced judgment in which Sri S.K.Kashmir Kumar, Auditor, D-2 Section, Unit-I, Pay & Accounts Office, Hyderabad is convicted for demanding and accepting bribe for processing the bill towards repairing charges of the Mahindra Jeep of Prohibition & Excise Department, Hyderabad district and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 6 months and to pay a fine of Rs. 10,000 for the offence u/s 7 of P.C. Act, 1988 and in default of payment of fine amount, to suffer 2 months simple imprisonment. Kashmir Kumar is also convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 1 year and to pay a fine of Rs. 10,000 for the offence u/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of P.C. Act,1988. Total fine amount is Rs. 20,000.

Software engineer commits suicide

Hyderabad, Dec 17 : A 36 year-old-woman hanged herself at her house in Sri Laxmi Nivas Ayyappa Society of Madhapur on Monday.

According to the Madhapur police, The woman identified as Sudeshna Das daughter of Manishinath Das an Software Engineer of Oracle company resorted to the step due to mental depression. The woman was staying with her mother Anita Das at the house.

On Monday her mother went out on some work and when she returned Sudeshna found her hanging in the house. With the help of locals she broke open the door. Suicide reason was not yet. Madhapur police registered a case and investigation is on

BAC urges MLAs to uphold dignity of the Chair

Hyderabad, Dec 17 : The Business Advisory Committee at its meeting held here on Tuesday has unanimously condemned the incident that took place in the State Legislative Assembly on Monday while Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka was in the Chair.

The BAC has urged all the members to uphold the dignity and honour of the Chair for the smooth conduct of the proceedings of the House, Assembly Secretary S Raja Sadaram said in a press release here.

Three killed in road accidents

Hyderabad, Dec 17 : A 35-year old painter was killed in road accident after hit by a lorry in KPHB police limits.

According to KPHB police, the deceased, Nagendram, was killed when a Lorry came opposite direction and hit him on Tuesday morning hours. He was a resident of Gokul Huts of Miyapur and met with the accident while going on his motor cycle to routine work. He died on the spot, Sub-Inspector Srinivas Reddy said.

In another case, A 24-year-old private employee died on the spot while going on his motor cycle dashed to a stationed lorry in Bowenpally police limits.

According to police, the accident occurred on Monday night hours near Bowenpally cross raod. The deceased was later identified as G Charankumar, a resident of Balanagar. A case has been registered, Bowenpally police said.

In separate case, 22-year old B Raju, an House Keeping employee, was grievously injured and died when the Motor cycle he was driving was hit by a Tata Ace speeding four wheeler at Narsingi cross road on Monday night and he was died on the spot. Raju was a resident of Shankarpally ranga reddy district. Narsingi police said.
