Hyderabad, Sept 11 : Union Minister of State for Finance (Revenue) JD Seelam on Wednesday ruled out the possibilities of giving resignation on the statehood issue.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of an event held at Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FAPCCI) here, Seelam said that the resignation would not prevent the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. However, he said that the union ministers from Seemandhra region could fight for united Andhra Pradesh by staying on their posts.
Seelam said that the MPs would have no voice after they quit from Lok Sabha seats. He said that although he was a supporter of Samaikhyandhra, he was also a loyal Congress worker.
The union minister also appealed to the Tax Payers to pay their Income Tax voluntarily which would facilitate the government in implementing the welfare schemes for the entire country, especially poor people. INN
