SCSP Action Plan rolls out in Social Welfare Department

Hyderabad, June 1 : The State Government on Saturday accorded administrative sanction to upgrade 30 Residential Schools to Intermediate level. This will facilitate an additional 2400 students to seek admissions in the highly sought after AP Social Welfare Residential Schools.

Eight new residential schools with an estimated cost of Rs 13 crore each, amounting to Rs 104 Crore the works will be taken up through e-procurement and completed in a period of 18 months. The administrative sanction has been issued for construction of 100 College Hostel Buildings (Indiramma Vidya Nilayams) for SC Boys and Girls in all Districts with an estimated cost of Rs 2.20 crores per building and accommodate around 200 students, besides 448 Community Halls with an estimated cost of Rs 33.6 Crores with each Community Hall at a cost of Rs.7.50 each at Gram Panchayat level in the first phase.
