Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, Revuri accused the GoM of not carrying out the process of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in a proper manner. Therefore, he said that the party has decided not to make any representation to the GoM on the bifurcation issue. However, he said that the Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samithi would be held responsible if any injustice happens to the Telangana region. He said since both the parties have been trying to stake claims over the formation of Telangana, they should ensure that no injustice is done with the region. INN

Speaking to media persons here, Dr Vivek said that the Chief Minister not only tried to cheat people, but used several means to sabotage the Telangana formation. He said that Kiran Kumar Reddy should not be allowed to continue his disruptive activities against Telangana in future and he should be arrested under the PD Act. He also slammed TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for trying to stall Telangana formation.

Dr Vivek also condemned the grant of permission for YSRCP meeting on Samiakhyandhra in Hyderabad. Demanding that the State Government cancel the permission, he said that Jagan needs to clarify as to why he was organising a meeting against Telangana in the State capital.

The Peddapalli MP also demanded that the State Government provide assistance to the families of those farmers who committed suicide. INN

Talking to reporters here, Surekha informed that she wrote a four-page letter to Jagan Mohan Reddy asking him to clarify his stand on the statehood issue. She sought to know whether Jagan stands-by the decision taken during party’s plenary meeting.

However, Surekha used strong words to slam Jagan. She said a person who robbed one lakh crore could go back on his word and take a U-turn on Telangana issue. Describing YSRCP as a private limited company, she said the party belongs to integrationists.

Accusing party’s honorary president Vijayamma of insulting her, Surekha said that Jagan himself destroyed the party by running it from Chanchalguda Jail.

Surekha’s letter and the press conference have confirmed that she would not sail with the YSRCP. However, by not announcing her resignation, she might be expecting the party to take action against her by way of suspension or expulsion. INN

The deceased, 22-year-old Kanchenapalli Roja, was one of the contestant for the Sarpanch post in the Vamtalapudi Gram Panchayat. She got electrocuted while trying to fix a bulb at her home. Her mother, Ganta Yellamma (45), too lost her life while trying to rescue her.

Following Roja’s death, the election for the Sarpanch post has been put off. However, the election to the post of ward members would be held as scheduled. INN

The NBW have been issued against them as they failed to attend the court when summons were issued in a case wherein they have been accused of conducting election campaign in a place of worship in the recently held by-elections in Station Ghanpur constituency. While campaigning for Congress MLA Rajaiah, the union minister and Warangal MP offered prayers in a place of worship by wearing Congress khandwas. INN

Speaking at the mini-Mahanadu at Jangoan in the district, the convenor of Telangana Front of the party has said that the party will be not be affected by those who desert it. Recently Kadiam Srihari has left the party and joined the TRS.

“When we have given a letter in favour of Telangana, there is no need for other parties to criticise us on the issue,” he said. INN

Addressing a meeting at Station Ghanpur here, KCR said that TRS was committed towards the Dalit cause and a separate Telangana State would have a Dalit as its first Chief Minister. He assured that the TRS would never go back on its promises.

It may be mentioned that KCR had earlier promised to give the post of Chief Minister to a Dalit leader while the Deputy CM’s post will be given to a Muslim candidate after the formation of Telangana State.

Addressing a massive gathering, KCR enthralled the TRS cadre to defeat the Andhra parties in the next elections to ensure the formation of Telangana State. Accusing the ruling Congress party of betraying the Telangana cause, he said that the formation of Telangana State was inevitable although the Centre has been delaying the statehood issue.

KCR also promised eight-hour free power to agriculture sector, farm loan waiver and compulsory free education from KG to PG after the formation of Telangana.

Meanwhile, former minister and TDP leader Kadiam Srihari formally joined the TRS during the meeting. Welcoming Srihari and his supporters into the TRS, KCR hoped that his entry would further strengthen the cause of Telangana.

Kadiam was with the TDP since inception and was also member of the politburo. He won from the reserved Station Ghanpur constituency four times and was also minister in 1990s. “The TDP has completely lost its credibility. Only cash-rich industrialists were getting prominence in the party at the cost of sincere workers,” Srihari told reporters here today.

Srihari, who represented the TDP at the all-party meeting in New Delhi on Telangana, said the party was not respecting the sentiments of people of the region. In all likelihood, he will be joining TRS. INN
