Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises, Palvai said that although Seemandhra region would gain from the Tribunal’s decision, it would badly hit the Telangana region. He said that it was wrong to blame the Tribunal as the legal counsels appointed by the State Government did not represent the case properly. Even the counsels appointed during the regime of Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy did not represent the case of Telangana appropriately.

Palvai said that the Tribunal would be approached again after the formation of Telangana State. If required, the Telangana Government would also approach the Supreme Court of India.

Speaking about the Telangana issue, the Congress MP said that the Assembly session would begin from December 10 and it will be of 72-hour duration to debate the Telangana Bill. He hoped that Telangana State would be reality before Sankranthi on January 15. He alleged that the Seemandhra Union Ministers were still pressurising the GoM and Centre to stop the Telangana formation process. However, he said that Congress president Sonia Gandhi would complete the process and would justice to both the regions. INN
