//--></script><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Hyderabad, July 21 :</strong> The Maharashtra police has denied permission to MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi to visit Mumbra in Thane district.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Akbar Owaisi was to attend an Iftar party and other programs in Mumbra. However, the Thane police served a notice to Owaisi last night asking him not to proceed with his visit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, speaking to media persons here, Akbar Owaisi expressed his resolve to visit Thane. As a people&#8217;s representative, he said he has a right to move freely across the country. He said any opposition to his visit would be countered democratically and the MIM would approach the court to seek permission. He also announced that he would visit Aurangabad, Daulatabad, Mumbai and other cities of Uttar Pradesh shortly.  <strong>INN</strong></p>

//--></script><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Hyderabad, June 16 :</strong> The Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen on Monday urged the State Government to take steps to ensure smooth and peaceful celebration of holy month of Ramzan.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Speaking to media persons at the State Secretariat after participating in the review meeting held by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, MIM MLA Ahmed Balala said that they had demanded a water plant and generator for Mecca Masjid and Royal Mosque (Public Gardens). Further, they said that Hyderabad Police should be directed not to harass the traders and the shops should be allowed to remain open round the clock. He said that the Muslim employees should be permitted to leave their office by 4 PM.</p>

//--></script><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Hyderabad, June 9 :</strong> The first session of State Legislative Assembly of new Telangana State began here on Monday with 117 members taking oath on the first day.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The proceedings began with senior legislator K Jana Reddy swearing-in as the Pro-Term Speaker by Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan at 9.30 AM. The Assembly session started at 11 AM with Pro-Term administering oath to the new members. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who entered the Assembly after a gap of 10 years, was the first to take oath followed by Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah, Etela Rajender and other Council of Ministers.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">After cabinet ministers, nine women legislators took oath as members of Telangana Assembly. Except for Akbaruddin Owaisi and Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, other 117 members took oath on the first day. According to sources Akbar Owaisi is in London for treatment while Mumtaz Khan is in the US. They will take the oath after they return to the city.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Five MLAs of MIM &#8211; Syed Ahmed Pasha, Quadri, Ahmed Balala, Maozam Khan, Jaffer Hussain Meraj and Kausar Mohiuddin took oath in Urdu. Goshamahal MLA D Raja Singh (BJP) took the oath in Hindi language. Four members &#8211; Ajmera Rekha Naik (TRS), Geetha Reddy (Congress), Padamavathi Reddy N (Congress) and Aamir Shakil (TRS) took the oath in English. The remaining members took the oath in Telugu language.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">TDP&#8217;s A Revanth Reddy was the last to take oath on Monday. The Chief Minister was present in the House for the entire session.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">After the completion of oath taking ceremony, the Pro-Term Speaker adjourned the House till 11 AM on Tuesday.  <strong>INN</strong></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Sources say that KCR was looking at two options of having a symbolic six-member cabinet swearing-in on June 2 along with him at Raj Bhavan. The second option is of inducting 14 ministers in the first phase. In both the cases, KCR will expand the cabinet after the conclusion of first session of Telangana Assembly.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">KCR is likely to send the list of ministers to be administerd oath on June 2 to Governor ESL Narasimhan by Sunday evening. The new government will be taking oath on June 2 at 8.15 AM. The TRS leaders who are all set to be part of KCR cabinet include Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, T Harish Rao, Jupally Krishna Rao and Papa Rao (MLAs) and MLCs &#8211; Swamy Goud and Mohammed Mahmood Ali.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to sources, KCR has offered two cabinet berths to Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen. However, the MIM is yet to respond to his offer.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar has been tipped to be made the Leader of TRS Parliamentary Party.  <strong>INN</strong></p>

//--></script><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Hyderabad, May 29 :</strong> The Muslim United Forum has requested Governor ESL Narasimhan to order a judicial probe into the communal clashes and police firing in Kishanbagh area which claimed three lives about a fortnight ago.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">A delegation comprising Majlis-e-Ulema-e-Deccan President Moulana Qubool Pasha Shattari, MIM President Asaduddin Owaisi, Mufti Sadeq Mohiuddin, Moulana Jaffer Pasha Hussami, Raheemuddin Ansari, Masood Mujtahedi and others called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan here on Thursday. Speaking to media persons later Moulana Shattari and Asaduddin Owaisi, said that the Governor has been requested to order a probe into the incident through a sitting judge of High Court. They also demanded action against the security personnel who opened fire on the mob. They said several Muslim youth were shot dead while they were protesting after bomb blast at Mecca Masjid in May 2007. They demanded that stern action should be taken against the guilty police officials who resorted to open fire instead of using other methods to disperse the mob.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Muslim leaders also demanded increase in compensation from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10 lakh each for the families of those killed in police firing. They also sought assistance for those injured in police firing and communal clashes.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Moulana Shattari said that the Governor has been requested to take immediate steps to avoid such instances of communal violence in future.  <strong>INN</strong></p>
