The Mayor said that the Defence authorities have requested him to personally visit the Defence Colony to take up the works pertaining to Hakimpet Nala and Towlichowki Nala as the water is overflowing and flooding into the residences of the colony at the time of heavy rains causing much inconvenience. The Mayor and Commissioner assured the Defence authorities of taking up the works after receiving permission from the Defence authorities. The Mayor said that an estimated amount of Rs. 25 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh would be required to complete the works.

R Dhan Singh, Engineer-in-Chief, D Ronald Rose, Additional Commissioner (Planning), K Siva Parvathi, Zonal Commissioner (Central), Srimannarayana, Superintending Engineer (Central), AV Ramani, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Circle-7 and senior officials of Engineering Wing also participated in the visit.
