Talking to reporters here, Damodar Reddy said that the Rayala-Telangana proposal holds no ground as the Centre was about to complete the process of Telangana formation. He said that the Rayala-Telangana was not acceptable and as promised by the Congress Working Committee, Telangana should have 10 districts with Hyderabad as its capital. He also alleged that the Intelligence Bureau was collecting views of leaders of different political parties on the Rayala-Telangana.

Damodar Reddy also said that the Telangana Congress leaders have requested the Centre to increase the number of Assembly seats in Telangana region from 119 to 153. When asked who was in the race for the post of Chief Minister of Telangana, he said every Congress leader was capable of becoming the CM.
