				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;"><b>Hyderabad, Nov 18:</b> GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar has appealed all the citizens of the twin cities to participate in Prajavani Programme which is being held on every Monday from 10AM to 1PM in all Circles / Zonal / Head Office of GHMC to solve their grievances at the earliest.  “This is the right platform to the citizens and officials to sort out the issues pertaining to various types of grievances from the citizens of the twin cities, he opined,” he said.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">He further said that the GHMC is fully dedicated and striving hard to solve the various civic related issues and requested the citizens to avail this opportunity and to be with the GHMC on every Monday 1st half, as all the officials of various departments will be available at one platform.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Commissioner said that the GHMC is organizing a special training programme ever conducted in the history of the Corporation for the sanitation workers on 26th November at Shilpakala Vedika to create awareness among the sanitation workers about their rights and responsibilities while performing their duties while performing the duties especially with regard to lifting of garbage, waste materials from the City. The experts from the sanitation field will be imparting training to the sanitation workers to work more effectively.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Somesh Kumar said that after visiting the Zonal Offices and the Head Office, it has been observed that most of the employees are complaining that they are not being given the ESI, PF statements to know the present status of their accounts for which the Commissioner has directed the officials to issue the same and further informed that the employees have already been given the statements of ESI and PF in some Circle and Zonal Offices. The Commissioner said that all the sanitation outsourcing staff of the entire GHMC will be getting their ESI, PF on 26th November during the training programme at Shilpakala Vedika.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Keeping in view of the problems faced by the employees while visiting to the ESI hospitals for their medical treatment, the Commissioner said that the GHMC is coordinating with all the major ESI hospital authorities to arrange “May I help You” booth with an assistant from GHMC side to have a proper liaison to the employees while taking their treatment at the ESI hospital.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Commissioner said that GHMC is planning to prepare a comprehensive action plan for development of the roads to maintain the roads in a perfect shape, footpaths, median divider, bus shelters, greenery etc., on either side of the roads for the convenience of the citizens and to have a beautiful look on the roads.  This plan will be ready in a week and specific sanctions will be given to take up the main and major roads where the roads are very badly damaged on priority.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Somesh Kumar said that  an action plan is also is being prepared for road cutting purpose and the GHMC is identifying some of the roads in coordination with HMWS&amp;SB, APCPDCL, BSNL and other related departments who are looking after the cable work, an action plan for  200 kilometers stretch is being prepared to take up underground duct works for laying of cable and other underground repairing works and GHMC will be issuing notices to all the connected departments to take up the road repairing works in the stipulated time and there after the GHMC will not issue permissions for road cutting purposes for 2 years and odd as the cement concrete roads are being laid for better maintenance of the roads in future.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Commissioner said that the GHMC has taken up of road works in 238 locations with a cost of Rs. 17 crores and almost all the works are in completing stage and further stated that 178 locations works are being taken up with a cost of Rs. 12.5 crores with CC roads.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Responding to the question raised by the reporters pertaining to non issue of occupancy certificates to the applicants, the Commissioner said that most of the owners of the buildings are submitting their application for occupancy certificate while their construction is under way. The Commissioner through media is appealed to the Citizens of GHMC to apply for occupancy certificate only after completing the building duly fulfilling the criteria as per the sanctioned plan.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Commissioner further said that the burning of garbage is not only taking the toll on public health but also on the GHMC finance by destroying the a life of garbage bins and he further informed that the GHMC is dead- against that type of issues creating un healthy and unwarranted problems for the people to this effect he said that GHMC is strengthening the OSRT System to sort out this type of issues to curb such menace.</p>
