The Chief Minister directed to make all efforts to help the cyclone victims, particularly the farmers. It may be recalled that the input subsidy for damaged coconut trees had been enhanced from Rs 150 to Rs 500 which comes to Rs 75,000 per hectare. He expressed happiness that fortunately no damages have been reported. He complimented the administration, NDRF, Army, Navy, Air Force and the public for their precautionary measures and preparedness.

Officials informed that moderate rains may occur in Guntur district and some other places and no major damages reported. As many as 45,200 people have been evacuated from low lying areas as a precautionary measure and all of them will reach their destination by Friday morning. The fishermen may go for fishing from Friday onwards, the officials added.
