Speaking to media persons here, Diwakar Reddy said that since the Assembly would debate Telangana Bill, the atmosphere, both inside and outside the House would be stormy. Therefore the law and order would be the biggest issue to be handled during the session.

Further, Diwakar Reddy said that the regional feelings have hurt the cordial relations between the legislators and ministers of Seemandhra and Telangana regions. He said the legislators too might attack each other with strong comments during the session. He said that Macherla of Guntur district could be the appropriate place for the new capital of residual of Andhra Pradesh State after bifurcation.

According to sources, the Speaker went around the Assembly premises to see the arrangements. The bell in the House was also tested twice to check its functionality. However, the Speaker went inside his chamber before the media personnel could reach him for his comments.

It may be mentioned that the Speaker interacted with DCP Central Zone Tuesday and it was assumed that the meeting was about security for the ensuing session.

Addressing a press conference in the Legislative Council premises, Prabhakar alleged that Naidu was escaping from his responsibilities of being the Leader of the Opposition. “People have elected Chandrababu Naidu to represent their problems on the floor of the House. However, by giving preference to his padayatra over assembly session, the TDP was trying to insult the democratic system,” he said.

Prabhakar said that the opposition parties were left with no issues due to the better performance of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. He said that was the reason why Naidu has decided to stay away from the assembly session. He said that the TDP chief was merely speaking on people’s problems while making false promises. INN
