According to Sultan Bazar police, the victim gave birth to a baby boy at Government Maternity Hospital in Sultan Bazar on November 14 who died on Sunday night. It may be mentioned that three persons were arrested by the Abids police during September this year on the charges of gang-rape.

The victim’s grandmother took her to the doctor on noticing the signs of pregnancy and it exposed the brutal act of gang rape. Following a complaint lodged by the family, Abids police arrested Kanaiah and two of his friends, all around 20 years of age, for allegedly raping the victim more than once.

The police is now conducting the DNA test of the baby boy which would help the police in establishing the offence in a court of law.
