Hyderabad, Dec 23: TDP General Secretary (Central Committee) Nara Lokesh is likely to lead the party’s campaign for forthcoming GHMC elections.
Lokesh, who is also the son of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, held a meeting with the leaders of Telangana TDP at NTR Trust Bhavan on Wednesday and reviewed preparations for the next GHMC polls. The meeting was attended by Telangana TDP President L. Ramana, Greater Hyderabad TDP President Maganti Gopinath, MLA R. Chandrashekar and other leaders.
According to sources, Lokesh directed the leaders to strengthen the party at grass root level across Greater Hyderabad. He also discussed TDP’s alliance with the BJP in forthcoming election. He reportedly assured that he himself would lead the party’s campaign while Chandrababu Naidu will participate in the electioneering during GHMC elections. (INN)
