Hyderabad, August 2: Accompanied with his wife Shobha, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday performed special puja at the Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad.
KCR was accorded a warm receipt by the Temple Committee members. The Chief Minister and his wife offered silk clothes to the presiding deity. Speaking to media persons later, KCR said he had prayed for the development of Telangana, adequate rains and better crops.
Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav too presented silk clothes to Goddess Mahakali on behalf of the State Government.
Union Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu and Bandaru Dattatraya, Council Chairman K Swamy Goud, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, ministers including Eatala Rajender, T. Padma Rao, A Indrakaran Reddy and Jagadish Reddy, MPs K Kavitha and K Keshav Rao, MLAs G Kishan Reddy, Konda Surekha and other leaders and senior officials also visited the temple to offer puja. (INN)
