Ponguleti accuses BJP Govt of promoting communalism

Hyderabad, Jan 30 (INN): Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Friday alleged that BJP Government at the Centre was working under the direct influence of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh to promote communalism.

Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Ponguleti said that BJP was even trying to build a temple for Nathuram Godse, the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi, by using its frontal organisations in Uttar Pradesh. He alleged that the BJP was deliberately hurting the sentiments of people and encouraging communalism. However, he said that the Congress party would counter all such moves and protect secularism and ideals of Mahatma Gandhi in the country.
