Woman’s body fished out from lake

Hyderabad, Jan 27 (INN): The Meerpet police on Tuesday retrieved the body of a 39-year-old woman from Pedda Cheruvu.

The deceased was later identified as Ramancha Manga, an attender in a private school and resident of Prashanti Hills Colony. She is suspected to have committed suicide by jumping into the lake on Monday evening, according to Meerpet police.

Two killed in road accidents

A 59-year-old man succumbed to the injuries which he sustained when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by another bike in LB Nagar police limits.

The victim, S Damodar Reddy, a lorry driver of Mallikarjuna Nagar near Uppal, had met with the accident on January 24. He was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where he died on Tuesday morning.

In another case, K Sudarshan, 45, died of injuries which he sustained on January 25 when the motorcycle he was riding skidded on Nagaram Road. He died at the Gandhi Hospital on Tuesday while undergoing treatment. He was an agriculturist and resident of Madyala Domara Ramaram in Ranga Reddy district.

Two woman succumb to accidental burn injuries

In separate cases, two women, succumbed to the burn injuries which they sustained while preparing food.

In Malkajgiri police limits, 40-year-old K Laxmi Bai suffered burn injuries on January 25. In another case, Shanti Kumari, 20, of Medchal sustained burn injuries on January 18. Both were admitted to the Gandhi Hospital for treatment where they died on Monday night.

Auto-driver found dead under mysterious circumstances

A 40-year-old auto-driver was found dead under mysterious circumstance in Chikkadpally police limits on Tuesday.

According to police, the deceased, Shaik Mansoor, had left his home at Golnaka on January 19 by stating that he was going to his native village. However, his body was found in Baghlingampally area on Tuesday morning. Police shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death. A case of suspicious death has been registered and further investigations are on.

One-year-old boy killed in freak accident

In a freak accident, one-year-old boy was killed in a road accident while playing in front of his residence.

According to Alwal police, the victim, K Rakesh, was playing near his residence in Jannala Banda huts on Monday evening and was badly hurt when his uncle drove his auto-rickshaw in reverse direction without realising his presence. The boy was immediately rushed to the Gandhi Hospital where he succumbed on Tuesday morning.

Burglars strike at businessman’s house in Rein Bazar

Some unidentified burglars broke open into the house of a businessman in Rein Bazar area and decamped with Rs 10 lakh cash and 20 tolas of gold ornaments.

According to Rein Bazar police, the burglars conducted the crime in the house of one Naseeruddin, whose son got married on Monday night. While all the inmates went for the marriage at a function hall at Nampally, the burglars entered the house by breaking open the locks. The burglary was noticed when the family returned at about 2.30 AM on Tuesday.

They immediately informed the police which began investigation after registering a case.

Man found murdered in Chevella

A 57-year-old man was found murdered in the Chevella police limits on Tuesday.

The body was found at an open land behind the Venkateshwara Swamy Temple. The man has been killed by assailants by throwing a boulder on his head. The body was later shifted to the local government hospital for post-mortem. Chevella police began investigation after registering a case of murder. The deceased has been identified as Yadaiah, a resident of Chevella. (INN)
