VHR to hold padayatra against Land Acquisition Bill

Hyderabad, Jan 24 (INN): Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao on Saturday announced that he would conduct padayatra from 10th to 20th February against the Central Government’s ordinance on Land Acquisition Bill.

Speaking to media persons here, VHR said that he would conduct padayatra in Nalgonda and Ranga Reddy districts and interact with the farmers about the Central Government’s ordinance. Accusing the Central Government of working against the interest of farmers to favour some big corporate houses, VHR said that the Congress party would organise massive agitation against the move by Narendra Modi’s Government at the Centre.

VHR also announced that he would raise the issue in the Parliament during its next session beginning from February 23.
