Hyderabad, Jan 22 (INN): The Central team on Thursday reviewed the Swine flu cases in Telangana State, especially Hyderabad.
The Central team comprising of Ashok Kumar, Additional Director General of Health, Shashi Khare, Additional Director of National Centre for Disease Control and Pradeep Khasnobis, Programme Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, visited Gandhi Hospital on Thursday and reviewed the treatment being given to affected patients. While three more persons died of Swine flu on Wednesday, the total number of affected persons in the State has increased to 247. As many as 53 persons are undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital.
Meanwhile, a total of 50,000 Swine flu kits have reached Hyderabad and they are being distributed among major hospitals in Hyderabad and other districts. The Central Team will also visit Mahabubnagar, as second highest number of Swine flu cases have been reported from the district after Hyderabad.
