Hyderabad, Jan 19 (INN): Union Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhu on Monday informed that the request of Telangana Government for renaming of Andhra Pradesh Express was under consideration.
Speaking to media persons here, the Union Minister acknowledged the receipt of requests from State Government for renaming of AP Express to Telangana Express and renaming of existing Telangana Express after Kommaram Bheem. He said that the Railway Ministry was considering the request. He also informed that the Centre was considering the introduction of two news trains to Shirdi from Hyderabad and Tirupati.
The Union Minister said that the Indian Railways would soon introduce a new portal to provide better service to the passengers. He also informed that the Centre was planning to allow FDI into railways through Foreign Pension Fund. He said complete transparency would be maintained in the FDI process and all employees would be taken into confidence.
