Two killed in road accidents
Hyderabad, Dec 16 (INN): Two persons were killed in road accidents at different places in the city.
A 4-year-old man, T Devraj, died of injuries which he sustained after the motorcycle he was riding skidded on Tank Bund road. According to Gandhi Nagar police, the accident occurred near Sri Sri Statue at Upper Tank Bund on Monday night. He was immediately rushed to the Gandhi Hospital where he died today while undergoing treatment. He was an employee of a private firm and resident of Afzalsagar of Mallepally.
In another case, Sai Kishore, 24, succumbed to the injuries which he suffered on December 11 when the bike he was riding was hit by another motorcycle coming from opposition direction on Kushaiguda Road. He was undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital where he died on Monday night. According to Kushaiguda police, Kishore was a resident of Nagaram and a contract labourer with Vijaya Dairy.
Two women among three commits suicide
Failure in love drove a 21-year-old boy to suicide in Malkajgiri police limits.
The deceased, A Uday Kumar, took the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Mallikarjuna Nagar Colony on Monday night. According to police, Uday Kumar was living with her maternal grandmother after the death of his parents. The grandmother too died a few months ago. He recently fell in love with a girl who rejected his proposal. Upset with these development, he is suspected to have committed suicide.
In another case, R Seshamani, 62, died of burn injuries which she suffered on December 15 after setting herself ablaze at her residence in Pudur near Medchal. She was undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital where she died today. According to Medchal police, ill-health is suspected to have driven her to suicide.
In a separate case, 36-year-old M Rama Devi succumbed to the burn injuries which sustained after setting herself ablaze. She took the extreme step on December 12 at her residence in Patencheru and died at the Gandhi Hospital on Tuesday morning. According to Patencheru police, Rama Devi was married to one Shekar about 11 years ago and had two children. However, she was mentally unsound for the last 4-5 years and the same is suspected to be the reason behind her suicide.
Housewife among two electrocuted
A 25-year-old woman got electrocuted while trying to plug her mobile phone for charging.
The incident took place in Yacharam of Ranga Reddy district on Monday night. The deceased, Kanaka Manjula, sustained severe electrical shock while trying to charge her mobile phone. Her husband Ellaiah immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.
In another case, B Srinivas Reddy, 26, got electrocuted after accidentally placing his foot on a live electric wire near his house in Kotwalguda of Shamshabad on Monday night. He was declared when rushed to a nearby hospital. He was an employee of a private seed company near his residence and had met with the accident while returning home, RGI Airport police said. (INN)
