Hyderabad, Nov 17 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I.Y.R.Krishna Rao has directed the Commissioner (Relief) to clear all the pending gratuitous relief payments within two days to the bereaved families and injured persons in the recent Hudhud cyclone in the state.
Reviewing the status of the relief and rehabilitation works in the Cyclone hit areas at Secretariat on Monday, the Chief Secretary directed the Agriculture and all line departments especially Horticulture to complete the enumeration of crop losses etc in the cyclone hit areas within one day. He also directed the Commissioner, Civil Supplies to settle all the accounts of gratuitous relief payments to the HUDHUD cyclone victims immediately.
The Chief Secretary has directed the officials to be prepared and get ready for the forthcoming visit of Central Team coming to Visakhapatnam on 24th and 25th of November to make complete assessment of the damages to crops and property in the three districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam.
Krishna Rao particularly directed the Secretaries and HODs of all line departments to be present at Visakhapatnam on those dates to explain the damages and also progress and status of relief and rehabilitation works to the visiting Central Team.
